Days 28 through 34

Total Pounds Lost: 11

Sorry for the long absence. My plan was to blog while in San Francisco, but I was just so relaxed and enjoying my time that I barely cracked open my laptop the whole time.

After 5 plus days in the Bay Area, I really had no confidence when I weighed in this morning, but can you believe I hit another goal!? Amazing. Maybe it was running around after an almost 3 year-old for 2 days or the fact that both kids kept me in a constant state of motion...who knows.

So it is time for my boss to pay up! After stewing over what charity to donate to, it looks like something closest to my heart is the way to go - The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network. After the way my year began and finding that my food allergies have gotten more intense, this seemed like the perfect option for me.

2 goals down, 26 to go!

Day 27

Total Pounds Lost: 9.5

It has been a very hectic 24 hours trying to get packed up and ready to fly out tonight, so this will be quick.

I didn't weigh this morning as it would have been on a foreign scale and I had no idea how it would compare to my new one. I made a management decision and chose not to start my trip off on a potentially bad foot. Starting tomorrow I will be checking my weight on my brother's scale - not sure how that will go, but I will give it a shot.

I have a few work things to finish up before I head to the airport, so that's all for now my friends.

Day 26

Total Pounds Lost: 9.5

Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn. Sooooooo close!

I was really hoping I would hit the 10 mark before heading to San Francisco at the end of the day tomorrow. I wanted to savor telling my boss in person it was his turn to pay up :D

Only half a pound to go - not too bad really, but it is just annoying to come so close and just miss it. On the brightside, maybe tomorrow will work out for me and as my last hurrah before I slide out early from work is to swing by the boss' office to let him know I did it (moreso for the big smile and congrats I think I will get versus the actually money).

And tomorrow night I will be with the kids. I will still be blogging from the Bay Area - I'm nervous about a whole new scale though...hopefully it won't be too too disappointing for me!

Days 24 & 25

Total Pounds Lost: 9

After a very laid back weekend and 2 days of being absolutely miserable, I am back at work and feeling better (even though I sound like I swallowed a frog).

The new scale is working out really well. It has weight tracking by user as well as a BMI indicator - very fancy. I also am wearing my new pedometer today. Odds are it won't get too much of a workout the next two days, but I intend to break it in while in San Francisco for 6 days.

All is well - I am on the mend and hav e areally good shot at making my boss pay up before I leave on that jet plane on Wednesday night!!

Days 21, 22, & 23

Total Pounds Lost: 8

So I have been down with the flu, cold, sinus infection thanks to that nasty virus that has been going around. I was worried with being in bed for 2 days straight I wouldn't lose anything since I wasn't active - apparently not. While my mother lost 9 pounds on the "virus diet," so far I have only lost 1.

I can't complain.

Only 2 more pounds to the next goal and then my boss gets to cough up cash for charity! Maybe I can pull that off before I leave town for San Francisco next week. Here's hoping!

P.S. The new scale came and works like a charm!

Day 20

Total Pounds Lost: 7

Well, I managed to get consistent weights this morning and it showed me down another pound - woo hoo! I cannot wait until the new scale gets here and I feel like these numbers are more reliable!

Nothing too new to report. I have a hockey game tonight with Pauly Paul and Yancey, and I just have to get through today's work day without any problems so I can focus on the T-Birds (and behaving).

Happy Hump Day, everyone!

Day 19

Total Pounds Lost: 6

A funny thing happened this week that has caused a bit of a problem - my fancy, very expensive scale decided to break (this is the 3rd one that has broken and will need to be replaced). No, it doesn't break because of me! How dare you think such a thing :D

There is this little bracket (2 actually) that if you step on the scale just so, it cracks or breaks or something. Then the next time you step on the scale, it zeroes out immediately. When you step off, it tells you that you weigh 60 pounds. Now while I welcome such a positive outlook, this does me no good.

So I ordered a new scale yesterday and it should be here soon - in the meantime, I am using my backup scale which is not reliable (it gives you 2 different weights in a manner of a minute and a half - and usually they are 3-4 pounds different).

Hopefully, Mr. FedEx comes quickly and allows me to get back on track.

Day 16, 17 & 18

Total Pounds Lost: 6

So it was a very odd weekend for me - it was productive as I did a lot of Spring Cleaning and laundry and recycled all the plastic bags and paper in my house (2 months of broken down food boxes and 3 months of shredded mail).

Unfortunately, as I was so caught up in everything else I was doing, I didn't eat very well. That is not to say that I ate bad things, it is that I barely ate anything. I wasn't really hungry, and when I was I would tell myself that I would just finish up whatever I was working on and then eat something. Of course, by the time I finished whatever it was, I wasn't hungry anymore.

I must do better this week - period. Where I could have lost a couple of pounds, I only lost 1 as I think my body thought I was starving it. Damn, I must do better!
